Southern NH Health providers, Dr. Tolga Ozmen and Nicolette McDonnell, APRN, will discuss current advancements in breast cancer screenings, treatment, prevention, and life after diagnosis.

About the Presenters: 

Tolga Ozmen, MD graduated from Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2007. He completed his initial general surgery training in 2013 at Marmara University School of Medicine, Istanbul, Turkey. After working for a few years at the same institution as a faculty member, he completed a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine (in 2018). He completed his second general surgery residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine in 2022. 

 A recognized expert in breast cancer, Dr. Ozmen continues to serve as editor and editor-in-chief for several peer-reviewed medical journals, such as Annals of Surgical Oncology, Breast Cancer Research, Journal of Current Surgery, and Innovative Practices in Breast Health. He has conducted and published many award-winning studies, edited several key textbooks, and is an active speaker at both national and international professional societies. 

Nicolette McDonnell, APRN-WHNP earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Boston College Connell School of Nursing after beginning her career as a high school physical education and wellness teacher. Inspired by her passion for women’s health and education, she transitioned into medicine to focus on breast health and prevention. 

At Foundation Breast Surgery, Nicolette specializes in evaluating benign and malignant breast concerns, performing individualized cancer risk assessments, and guiding patients through screening, biopsies, and treatment initiation. She is committed to building trusting relationships, providing education, and tailoring care to each patient’s unique needs. 

Outside of work, Nicolette competes in ninja warrior competitions and enjoys time with her children, especially playing guitar and piano.
