About Tella Sadighpour, MD

Tella Sadighpour, M.D., is a family medicine physician dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care across all stages of life. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from American University of Antigua College of Medicine and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with Honors from the University of Toronto. While in medical school, Dr. Sadighpour participated in the Global Health Track, a longitudinal program offered in collaboration with Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. After completing her preclinical studies at American University of Antigua, she continued through the FIU Graduate Clinical Core Rotation Certificate Program, completing her core clinical rotations at FIU-affiliated teaching sites in South Florida, followed by additional elective rotations in Chicago.

Prior to medical school, she completed formal training in Diagnostic Medical Sonography at St. Clair College, giving her a unique background in diagnostic imaging and patient care. Dr. Sadighpour is fluent in English and Farsi.  

Dr. Sadighpour has experience caring for patients in both primary care and telehealth settings and is committed to preventive medicine, quality improvement, and collaborative, team-based care. "I like everything about family medicine, but my passion lies in preventive care, obesity medicine, women's health, and hormone replacement therapy". 

Connecting with patients is important to Dr. Sadighpour. "Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to experience different cultures. By taking the time to learn about a patient's culture, you can relate to them and understand where they are coming from when they have concerns about their health or treatment plans."  

Throughout her training and career, she has pursued additional education in leadership, motivational interviewing, patient communication, and healthcare quality and safety.  

Outside of work, Dr. Sadighpour enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. A lifelong animal lover, she especially loves cats, dogs, and squirrels.
