Remembering 9/11 and Dealing with Trauma and Grief
By Keith Baldi, Manager of Enterprise Communications
As the U.S. commemorates the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, some of our friends and neighbors are still experiencing trauma from that horrific event.
Southern NH Health Psychologist, Dr. William Charmak, who is the Chair of Foundation Behavioral Health, says during this time of reflection, acknowledging the impact of 9/11 is something we should talk about. Discussing how the events affected our lives can help in the healing process, even 25 years later.
Dr. Charmak says people dealing with trauma should seek the help they need, and that grief is normal and necessary to recovery.
