Southern New Hampshire Health Immediate Care Earns Prestigious Accreditation

by Keith Baldi, Manager of Enterprise Communications

One of Only Two Urgent Care Groups in NH with this Distinction

Southern New Hampshire Health’s walk-in Immediate Care locations are now only the second urgent care group in the state to be accredited by the Commission on Ambulatory and Urgent Care Quality (CAUCQ).

The national recognition was earned after an in-person, on-site survey in April, where a specialized evaluation team confirmed Southern NH Health’s dedication to safety and commitment to quality care for patients and employees.

To date, CAUCQ has only accredited 141 urgent care centers across New England, putting Southern NH Health’s walk-in Immediate Care facilities among a select group. Representatives from CAUCQ said, “The accreditation affirms your commitment to providing quality care, focused patient safety and excellent clinical outcomes.”

“Being in this select group shows how seriously Southern New Hampshire Health takes the quality of our care,” said Rebecca Cooper-Piela, SVP and Chief Quality Officer at Southern New Hampshire Health. “We are dedicated to serving patients in every setting, from primary to specialty care, emergency to immediate care, and this is just another example of how we serve the community.”

The accrediting body also awarded the organization an Antibiotic Stewardship Commendation for meeting the additional requirements associated with the responsible use of antibiotics.

In addition to traditional in-person care, the CAUCQ separately recognized and accredited Southern NH Health’s virtual care option. This service allows patients to access care through our Immediate Care page and see a provider who is part of our health system.
