Southern New Hampshire Medical Center Expands Surgical Capabilities

Southern New Hampshire Health announced the addition of the Intuitive da Vinci 5® surgical system, bringing the latest in robotic-assisted surgical technology to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.

Beginning this month, surgeons at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center will utilize the high-definition 3D imaging and force feedback technology for greater accuracy and safety during complex procedures, including general, bariatric, urologic, gynecologic, and emergency surgeries.

“Adding the Intuitive da Vinci 5 surgical system to our services at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center expands what we’re capable of in the operating room,” said Leanne Berube, RN, Southern NH Health’s Executive Director of Surgical and Procedural Services. “With this technology, we’re able to deliver minimally invasive care that enables individuals to get back to their daily lives more quickly. It’s another step forward in our commitment to serving our patients with advanced surgical care right here in Nashua.”

The da Vinci 5 system’s surgical platform enables advanced visualization, improved ergonomics, and greater control for Southern New Hampshire Medical Center’s surgical unit. The technology allows for more precise procedures, better patient outcomes, and reduces the need for patients to travel to Boston for access to the same level of surgical care.
