Southern NH Health Nurse Honored with New Hampshire Magazine Excellence in Nursing Award
Southern New Hampshire Health is pleased to announce that Jill MacGregor, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC of the Center for Recovery Management, is being honored by New Hampshire Magazine with an Excellence in Nursing Award for Psychiatric & Mental Health Nursing. This category recognizes a psychiatric and mental health or substance use disorder nurse working on in-patient units or in community-based care. These awards celebrate the very best in nursing to honor those who go above and beyond.
Jill has been a nurse practitioner since 2009 and has served at the Center for Recovery Management at Nashua since 2020. In her current role, she conducts comprehensive evaluations with patients, exploring their substance use, medical, and mental health histories to determine the most appropriate treatment path—whether medication-based, non-medication, or a combination of both. “Our multidisciplinary team takes a holistic, evidence-based approach to recovery care,” Jill explains. “Just as there are many unique aspects of medicine, there are varieties of ways to help each person on their recovery and wellness journey.”
Jill believes that quality care is centered on compassion, evidence, and a deep commitment to listening. “We ensure quality care is consistently delivered by actively listening to our patients and acknowledging their goals,” she says. This recognition by New Hampshire Magazine highlights not only her individual excellence but also the strength of the team around her. “This is truly a team achievement,” she adds. “Providing quality care is not possible without a dedicated group of individuals working together.” Jill acknowledges the support of her family, colleagues, educators, and especially the entire team at the Center for Recovery Management, the Doorway of Greater Nashua, and the Behavioral Health department at Southern NH Health as instrumental in this honor.
