Southern NH Health Promotes Rebecca Cooper-Piela to Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer

Southern New Hampshire Health has promoted Rebecca Cooper-Piela, MS, APRN-BC, CHCQM, to Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer, overseeing quality, accreditation, regulatory, and population health programs. 

In this expanded role, Cooper-Piela will lead Southern NH Health’s systemwide efforts to advance quality and safety and strengthen accreditation and regulatory readiness. Additionally, she will oversee initiatives that drive value-based care and population health across Southern NH Medical Center and Foundation Medical Partners.

Cooper-Piela continues to see patients within Foundation Medical Partners in the primary care setting, reflecting her enduring commitment to clinical care and the community. She recently celebrated her 30th anniversary with Southern NH Health and has been recognized for her collaborative leadership approach, commitment to continuous improvement, and focus on patient-centered care. Her vision, clinical expertise, and deep understanding of the organization have been instrumental in advancing Southern NH Health’s progress as the region’s trusted health system of choice.

Cooper-Piela, who joined Foundation Medical Partners in 1995, has held progressive leadership roles in quality and medical governance, including serving as Medical Director for Quality Assurance, Chief Quality Officer, and later Vice President of Quality, Safety, and Accreditation. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in nursing from Boston College and is certified in health care quality management.
