About Our Practice

At Amherst Obstetrics & Gynecology, we are proud to provide a patient centered, team-based approach to your care. This means that, from the time you are greeted by our team, you will feel welcome and comfortable. We will treat you like we would our sisters, mothers, daughters and friends. Each of our valued team members will have a dedicated role in your care and will strive to deliver collaborative, high-quality care so that you feel engaged and empowered.

We are proud to provide expert, compassionate care for all women. Our services include personalized prenatal and postpartum care including on-site lab and ultrasound services. We provide routine preventative gynecological care and make time to care for acute issues that require more urgent visits.

Rebecca Mayo, PA-C, our team physician assistant, comes to us after working in the Elliot Hospital ER for nine years. Urgent issues are nothing new to Rebecca and she is often able to see same-day patients for acute pregnancy or gynecological concerns. Rebecca is a mother of three little girls and offers a wealth of knowledge about pregnancy and the care of women.

Dr. Keever is a sought after vaginal surgeon who specializes in removing the uterus through the vagina with no abdominal incisions. This is the most minimally invasive type of hysterectomy when all other conservative options fail. Her vaginal hysterectomy rate is near 90% and junior physicians travel to Nashua to learn this skill at her side. Dr. Keever is an experienced surgeon and currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Department of OBGYN at SNHHS.

Preconception & Prenatal Care

Taking proper preconception and prenatal care is vital to birthing a healthy baby, which is why we recommend appropriate prenatal vitamins and folic acid.  We also encourage patients to have their medical history reviewed, immunization confirmed, and to ensure physical exams are up to date.

Specific nutrition and medication questions can be addressed during a preconception counseling exam.  Call to schedule an evaluation if you have a positive pregnancy test.
