About Kevin M. Kenney, APRN-FNP

Kevin M. Kenney, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, earned a Master of Science in nursing from Rivier University in Nashua, New Hampshire, and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from University of New Hampshire in Durham, New Hampshire.

Mr. Kenney has worked as a nurse for 16 years, mostly on a progressive open-heart surgery team and in the intensive care unit. He will now be transitioning to family practice. He has completed rotations in family medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, and internal medicine.

Mr. Kenney is excited for this next step in his career, “Being an advanced practice registered nurse puts me in a unique position to personally make decisions that help improve patients’ lives.”  Mr. Kenney appreciates that primary care allows for preventive care, which is vital. He is looking forward to connecting with families and individuals of all ages as they navigate life and the complexity of healthcare in the United States.

According to Mr. Kenney, trust and shared decision-making help build the ideal patient/provider relationship, “I want my patients to know that I see them as individuals with a unique life story who deserve to be listened to. Each of us is the embodiment of a lifetime of unique experiences, and I always keep that individuality in mind when making healthcare decisions.”

When not working, Mr. Kenney spends his time with his family. He has a 6-year-old daughter who is still enjoying the magic of childhood. He likes helping to coach her softball team. He also enjoys hiking and camping in the White Mountains. According to Mr. Kenney, “Some of the best things in life are found deep in the woods or high up on a mountain.”
