About Timothy J. Marquis, MD

Board-certified Timothy Marquis, MD earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, CT. Dr. Marquis completed a primary care internal medicine residency at Yale University School of Medicine/Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT and a hematology/oncology fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA.  

Dr. Marquis treats patients with blood disorders and different types of cancer. He has a clinical interest in gastrointestinal cancer and melanoma.  

He says it is an exciting time to be in the field of oncology as new diagnostic tools and cutting-edge treatments are helping to provide patients with more personalized, effective and durable treatments. 

A relative being diagnosed with cancer and going through treatment is what motivated Dr. Marquis to become a hematologist/oncologist. "Personal experiences have shown me the meaningful impact of having high-quality cancer care close to home."   

When he's not at work, Dr. Marquis enjoys skiing, boating, gardening, and spending as much time as he can with his family and dog.
