Southern New Hampshire Health Welcomes New Providers

New Providers Join Gastroenterology, Pediatrics, Musculoskeletal Medicine, Radiology, Immediate Care and Primary Care

Southern New Hampshire Health is pleased to announce seven new providers to its practices.

Haider Rahman, MD, a board-certified gastroenterologist with specialized training in advanced endoscopy, has joined Foundation Gastroenterology.

Dr. Rahman graduated from St. George’s University in Grenada with a Doctor of Medicine, Magna Cum Laude, before completing his residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Albany Medical Center in New York. He completed an additional fellowship in advanced endoscopy at Virginia Commonwealth University.

“I have a passion for advanced endoscopy,” Dr. Rahman says. “I’m looking forward to continuing to work in a multidisciplinary collaborative environment, caring for patients with a wide range of conditions.”

Patrick Duff, MD, board-certified pediatrician, joins Partners in Pediatrics in South Nashua, a Foundation Medical Partners practice.

A graduate of New York Medical College with a Doctor of Medicine degree, Dr. Duff completed his pediatric residency at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington. He received his B.S. in Biology from Emmanuel College in Boston.

“Working with children and their families is so enriching,” he says. “For me, it’s all about becoming a part of their family in a sense, feeling that connection and making sure everybody feels a sense of trust and belonging with the practice.”

Jennifer Leavy, DO, a specialist in osteopathic neuromusculoskeletal medicine, has joined Musculoskeletal Medicine at Merrimack Medical Center.

A Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine graduate from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Dr. Leavy received her Bachelor of Arts and Science from Florida State University in Tallahassee. She completed her osteopathic neuromusculoskeletal medicine residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, NY.

Dr. Leavy is particularly interested in working with children and obstetrics patients. Her passion is caring for generations of a family and serving the community.

“There are a lot of developmental and age-related issues that Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) can address,” she says. “By getting treated as medical or physical issues arise over a lifetime, children end up healthier and more balanced as adults.”

Samson Munn, MD, FACR, board-certified radiologist, joins Foundation Radiology.

Board-certified in diagnostic radiology in the U.S. (and the equivalent in the U.K.), Dr. Munn earned his Bachelor degree in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, and his MD from Boston University School of Medicine. He completed residency in diagnostic radiology in the Tufts/New England Medical Center/Boston V.A. Medical Center program, and combined fellowship/chief residency in imaging at the Boston V.A. Medical Center.  He was Associate Professor at Tufts School of Medicine prior to moving to Los Angeles at the end of 2015.  There, he served as Professor of Clinical Radiological Sciences at David Geffen School of Medicine of University of California (UCLA) from July 2016 until joining Foundation Radiology, Vice Chair of Radiology at UCLA from July 2018 to June 2020, and Chair of Radiology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center from February 2016 through March 2020 (and Academic Chair thereafter until returning from L.A. this past summer).  He has been elected President of the Medical Staff four terms at three hospitals, including Tufts Medical Center, where he was Vice Chair of Radiology from June 2008 to December 2015. He is an Expert Reviewer for the Medical Board of California, has two patents in radiology techniques, and is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology (an honor afforded to just 13% of board-certified radiologists). Outside of medicine, he is a Fulbright Specialist in Peace and Reconciliation Studies (related to genocide).

“I am pleased to be returning to New England and to be joining the Department of Radiology at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Chaired by Dr. Alturkistani, whom I have known and admired professionally for years,” said Dr. Munn. “I enjoy general radiology with a subspecialty emphasis, and relish this opportunity to practice in such a truly high quality environment.”

Jennifer Mann, APRN, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, has joined Primary Care of Hudson.

Mann earned her BA graduate from Emmanuel College in Boston, before receiving her ASN from Queens University of Charlotte, in Charlotte, NC, and completing her MSN at Regis College in Weston, Mass.

Mann had years of experience working as a nurse in urgent cares and emergency departments, before deciding to pursue her degree as a nurse practitioner.

“The decision to become a nurse practitioner started while I was working in the emergency department as a registered nurse,” she says. “I enjoyed caring for people of all ages with different types of medical conditions. I knew I wanted to take the next steps in my career to make an even bigger difference in the lives of my patients.”

Amanda Meerani, APRN, joins Immediate Care of South Nashua.

A graduate of the University of New Hampshire Family Nurse Practitioner Program, Meerani earned her BS in Nursing from Rivier University. Before joining Immediate Care of South Nashua, she served at Convenient MD, Catholic Medical Center, and Salemhaven Nursing Home and Rehab, caring for patients in urgent and acute care settings, as well as long-term and end-of-life care.

Meerani said, “I look forward to providing quality patient care to all age groups. Serving others has always been a passion of mine. I strive to make sure I provide patients with excellent medical care, compassion and kindness.”

Naomi Flaherty, APRN, a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, has joined Nashua West Adult Medicine.

Naomi earned her Master of Science in nursing and her B.S. in nursing from Rivier University in Nashua, where she previously had also received her Associate of Science in nursing.

She has worked in a variety of clinical and hospital settings, including medical/surgical with a focus on oncology, rehabilitation, internal medicine, labor and delivery and emergency medicine.

“I always have been drawn to the medical field from a young age,” she says. “I’ve always wanted to help people and be able to make a difference in someone’s life. Whether it be in a small or profound way, being part of someone’s healthcare journey is a privilege.”
