Partial Hospitalization Program

Southern New Hampshire Medical Center offers intensive treatment for individuals 18 years or age and older with mood and anxiety disorders. This day program is designed for those who are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and/or depressed and need extra support to manage your symptoms.

Therapy sessions are led by experienced clinicians and cover a variety of topics, including:
  • Education on diagnosis and symptom recognition
  • An understanding of the impact that mood and anxiety has on the home, family, and work environment
  • Techniques aimed at managing and preventing future episodes

The program psychiatrist is available to evaluate and prescribe medication for those without a prescribing provider.

With your permission, every effort will be made to communicate with your other health care providers to coordinate your care. Our social work staff will assist participants with selecting psychiatric providers for therapy and for medication management.

An intake assessment for the Partial Hospitalization Program can be arranged by calling 603.577.5740. We accept most health insurance plans. The treatment groups run 5 days a week (Monday through Friday) from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The duration of the program varies by the individual, however typically ranges from 5-10 days total.
