Our Palliative Care team provides additional support throughout cancer care. Working alongside the cancer care team, palliative care specialists help manage treatment side effects, assist with complex medical decisions, and provide guidance to help patients better understand a diagnosis and treatment options. Palliative care can be beneficial at any stage of treatment.
Palliative care is sometimes confused with hospice care. While both focus on improving quality of life, palliative care can be provided at any stage of illness and alongside active treatment. Hospice care is typically reserved for end-of-life support.
