Clinical trials are a way to bring new treatment possibilities to people who have not responded to  regular therapy. All such trials are subject to rigorous standards and supervised by a special review board with federal oversight

Southern New Hampshire Health System is currently participating in several clinical studies:


Foundation Cardiology has been participating in pharmaceutical research studies since 2003.  Trials involving both acute heart disease and chronic follow up care, along with trials in high cholesterol have been studied at Foundation Cardiology. There are several studies ongoing and enrolling at the present time.  If you or someone you know may be interested in finding out more information, please contact Raeleen Grabeau, RN at


Nashua Dermatology Associates is currently involved in three observational psoriasis studies. Enrollment is currently open for one of these studies. Please contact Mary Card for additional information regarding research studies at


Foundation Hematology/Oncology is associated with cooperative groups such as Cancer and Leukemia Group B (CALGB), Sun Coast University of South Florida (SCUSF), and SWOG (formerly Southwest Oncology Group).  We currently have four Phase III Academic studies open which include breast cancer research.  One pharmaceutical study is on-going and involves breast cancer research. Our relationship with the Mass General Cancer Center gives us access to  the latest research and clinical trials. As part of the largest hospital-based research program in the United States, Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Cancer Center is known worldwide for advances in cancer care. With clinical research ongoing in more than 15 Disease Centers, and basic research underway through the Center for Cancer Research and Departmental Research programs, the opportunity for our patients to be eligible for treatment in clinical trials is another advantage of our relationship with MGH Cancer Center. For more information visit

Nashua Rheumatology is participating in research studies which include rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.  In addition, two studies are open that collect information for data banks on patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Diabetes and Endocrinology

Clinical research studies at Southern New Hampshire Diabetes and Endocrinology have been on-going for the past 9 years.  A variety of studies have been completed in Type I Diabetes and Type II Diabetes. Currently the site is participating in Pharmaceutical sponsored studies with new investigational products for Type I and Type II Diabetes.
