Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC)

Southern NH Medical Center's Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) is a committee of patients and their family members who serve as the voice of the patient. They provide insight, opinions, and ideas to help strengthen The Medical Center’s ability to provide unmatched positive health care experiences to our patients every day.  They play a valuable role in helping hospital leaders enhance services and programs here.

Advisor Role

  • Members of the patient and family advisor group represent the patient community needs and interests for patients and their families.

  • Guide us in the processes that help to improve care and the overall experiences of patients and families.

  • Serve as a link from the hospital to the communities we serve.

  • Assist in the identification of opportunities that will enhance patient and family experiences.

  • Participate in monthly meetings (approximately 2 hours) for a term of 3 years.

  • Dedicate additional time outside of meetings for initiatives and projects.

  • Attend PFAC orientation.

Oversight

  • Medical Center Executive Board provides PFAC oversight.
