Dr. James Mawn Barger, an orthopedic surgeon with specialties in upper extremities and shoulders, is now accepting new patients.
 
A graduate of Cornell University with a B.A. in chemistry, Dr. Barger received his Doctor of Medicine from New York University School of Medicine in New York City. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program in Boston. In addition, he completed an upper extremity fellowship at the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center in Indianapolis, IN, and a shoulder mini-fellowship with Pascal Boileau and Laurent/Thibault Lafosse in Nice and Annecy, France.
 
Dr. Barger, who has been extensively published, is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Portuguese.
 
While an undergraduate he played as a violinist with the Orquesta Juvenil AISEC (International Orchestra in Buenos Aires, Argentina) and during medical school he played as a violinist with the Doctors’ Orchestral Society of New York.
