About Rohan B. Parikh, MD
Ask Dr. Rohan Parikh what he values most about his work, and his answer is simple.
“It’s the relationships I build with patients,” he says. “Making a difference in their lives, and their families’ lives, that’s everything.”
As an interventional and structural cardiologist, his clinical interests and practice focus on complex coronary interventions, high-risk PCI, mechanical circulatory support, PFO/ASD closure, renal denervation, structural heart disease, and transcatheter valvular heart disease interventions, including TAVR, mitral, and tricuspid repair and replacement.
He earned his medical degree at N.H.L. Medical College in Ahmedabad, India, and completed his internal medicine residency at Western Reserve Health Education in Ohio. During his time at the Texas Heart Institute’s Regenerative Medicine Research Lab, he studied whether damaged hearts might one day heal themselves, a question that continues to fuel his curiosity in field. He went on to complete four fellowships: cardiovascular medicine, interventional cardiology, structural cardiology, and vascular medicine.
When he’s not caring for patients, he recharges on the tennis court, over a chessboard, and on bike rides with his kids.
